President, Ann Jackson, has been an Herbalist since 2002 and a Massage Therapist since 2007. She is owner of Ann’s Ginger House, in Newmarket, NH, that offers medical massage, clinical herbal consultation, and education.  Ann has been a member of NHHN for several years, becoming social Media Coordinator in 2017, serving as Secretary in 2022, and Vice President in 2023.  Ann looks forward to helping NHHN grow as a community and continue offering educational resources for herbal medicine, gardening and a healthy environment.

Treasurer, Lior Sadeh has grown herbs and created herbal remedies for more than a decade.  She was trained as a clinical functional herbalist by Thomas Easley of The Eclectic School of Herbal Medicine.  As a clinician, Lior combines scientific research with traditional Western herbalism and a functional approach to growing health.  Lior teaches workshops online and in person.  She manages a YouTube channel and a Substack membership, where she shares her passion for healing foods and nourishing herbs.

Secretary, Mikayla Humiston has a strong background in food systems and a desire to learn more about the herb world.  Mikayla is the CSA manager for Heron Pond Farm, in South Hampton, NH.  Her passion is connecting people with local food and each other.  When she’s not pursuing her career, she can be found cooking, reading, knitting, skiing, hiking, or enjoying time with friends and family.

Executive Advisor Emeritus, Maria Noël Groves, is an author of Body into Balance and Grow Your Own Herbal Remedies and owner of Wintergreen Botanicals Herbal Clinic & Education Center in Allenstown, New Hampshire. Maria writes and teaches nationally about herbal medicine and offers both on site and distance herbal study courses and virtual health consultations. She practices Western herbal medicine with a focus on herbs common in commerce, the garden, and bioregional wild plants as well as nutrition and whole foods. She is trained primarily by the Southwest School of Botanical Medicine (Michael Moore) and Sage Mountain (Rosemary Gladstar), as well as other teachers including Christine Tolf and Nancy Phillips. Maria co-founded the NH Herbal Network in 2009 and worked as the primary group organizer/president from 2009 through 2015. She was the group treasurer in 2022 and has now – with our growing and vital key board members listed above – stepped back into a more background/supportive “emeritus” role.
